Shirley Paris

Shirley Fern Paris (Wooden), 90, of Chillicothe, MO passed away Saturday, November 21, 2021.

Shirley was born on September 7, 1931 in Braymer, Mo the daughter of Virgil Andrew Wooden and Leonia Zelpha Jenks Wooden. After a courtship of 24 years, Shirley married her sweetheart, Lyle Paris at the Free Methodist Church in Chillicothe.

Shirley was the manager at the Wonder Bread Store in Chillicothe for many years. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, being on the farm and caring for the cows, a member of the 4-H, bowling, dancing gardening, sewing, and crocheting.

Shirley is survived by Richard Shannon (Shirley) of Chillicothe; Bev Bryant of Hamilton; grandchildren, Scott Shannon of Chillicothe; Austin Martin of Shawnee, KS.; Jade Lewis (Adam) of Grower, MO.; Jami Williams (Ty) of Hamilton; Jordan Curry (Bobby) of Kansas City, MO.; five great-grandchildren. Brothers, Donald Gayle Wooden (Ileene) of Agency, MO.; Jim Wooden of Braymer, MO.; several nieces and nephews.

Shirley was proceeded in death by her parents Virgil and Leonia Wooden; husband, Lyle Paris; siblings, Kenneth Wooden, Alice Wooden, Virgil Wooden, Roger Wooden; son-in-law, Danny Bryant.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 26, 2021 at Heritage Funeral Home in Chillicothe, MO.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 26, 2021 at Heritage Funeral Home in Chillicothe, MO.

Burial will be at Blue Mound Cemetery.
