Mary Ireland

Mary Lee Ireland, 82, of Trenton, MO, passed away on August 27, 2021 at Mt. Vernon Place Care Center in Mt. Vernon, MO.

Mary was born on November 23, 1938 in Modena, MO to the late Loren Kenneth Smith and the late Edith Irene Hamilton Smith.

Mary attended Modena Grade School and Princeton High School in Princeton, MO. She worked at Boss’ Glove Factory and Midwest Glove Factory for many years as well as at the Trenton Senior Center in Trenton, MO.  She also volunteered for RSVP in Trenton, MO.

She was united in marriage to the late Orbory Pete Ireland on December 20, 1968.  He preceded in death in December 2008.  She leaves behind daughter, Jackie Williams and friend Mike Lee of Monett, MO.  She is survived by three grandchildren, Zachary Williams of Monett, MO; Shawnna Lines and husband Caleb of San Diego, CA; and Isaiah Williams of Georgetown, CO.  She is also survived by two great-granddaughters, Katherine “Kit” and Rosalyn “Rosie” Lines of San Diego, CA.  She had three sisters, Nelva King and husband Ed of Princeton, MO; Donna Sue Fair of Trenton, MO; and Terri Fields and husband Rudy of Holt, MO; many nieces and nephews, and her dog, Buddy, who will be living with her daughter Jackie.

She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, two nieces, and a nephew.

A public visitation will be held Friday, September 3, 2021 from 9:00 AM until 10:00 Am at Heritage Funeral Home in Chillicothe, Missouri.

Private family services will be held at a later date.
