Thomas Sperry

July 7, 1983 — March 3, 2019

Nathan passed from his mortal life and returned home on March 3rd. Son of Dick and Doe Sperry, his siblings are TJ (Tyneka), Indianapolis, Indiana; Alex (Hillary), Bella Vista, Arkansas; Jesica (Jason), Kaui, Hawaii; Jon (Anna), Mansfield, Texas; and Suzanne (Keenan), Cameron, Missouri.

He was loved and cared for by each of his attentive siblings and loved ones throughout his life. He was adored by 18 nieces and nephews who live in Texas, Arkansas, Hawaii, Iowa, Louisiana, and Tahiti.

Nathan was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. At birth he was expected to live only 30 minutes. He defied those odds until 35 years later when in July of 2018 he was diagnosed with cancer.  He endured it well as he had every challenge, with courage and resilience. His physical limitation never affecting his ability to teach the most important lessons of life, Christ-like love & compassion. His great love for all is a testament of the Savior’s great love, not only for him but for each of us.

A family service was held. Dick Sperry conducted, an opening prayer was given by TJ Sperry, immediate family (parents, siblings and their families) sang "Families Can Be Together Forever". Sharing of thoughts and stories was followed by a closing musical number, "Be Still My Soul" sung by Hillary and Olivia Sperry, accompanied by Anna Sperry.

Burial was at New Salem Cemetery in Carroll County.

In his honor, the family requests that memorials be made by showing an unexpected kindness or visiting someone who you have delayed seeing for too long.

Arrangements provided by Heritage Funeral Home. Celebration of Life will be held at a future time.
