Shirley Ann Keith, 78, of Chillicothe, MO, passed away on Thursday, March, 3, 2011 at Hedrick Medical Center in Chillicothe.
Shirley was born October 5, 1932 in Spickard, MO, the daughter of Carl Dewey Tharp and Ethel Stella Cunningham Tharp.
She was a graduate of Spickard High School.
On August 18, 1953 she married Howard Lee Keith in Chillicothe, MO. He preceded her in death on April 3, 1983.
Shirley was a member of First Baptist Church in Chillicothe and was very active in her church. She was also a member of RSVP.
She was a very family oriented lady and enjoyed cooking, sewing, and crocheting for her family. Her greatest enjoyment was having her family around her.
Shirley is survived by daughter, Barbara Weeks of Chillicothe and her daughter Wendy Copple and her children Tylee & Braydon of Cameron, MO; a son Jim Keith of Chillicothe and his children, daughter, Emily Hecker and husband, Brian, and their children, Abby & Andrew  of Chillicothe,  Amie Morrow and children Tegan & Camden of Wichita, KS; and Jillee Keith and daughter, Kylie of St. Joseph, MO; six siblings, Laverna Jo Adams, Betty Kincade, Glenn Dale Tharp, Caroline Sue Wendt; Sharon June Blacksmith and Kay Crawford; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Howard; and five siblings, Jack Tharp, Louise Stephens, Bill Tharp; Nina Frances Persell and an infant sister, Mary Lou Tharp.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 5, 2011 at First Baptist Church of Chillicothe.
Burial will be at Edgewood Cemetery, Chillicothe.
A visitation will be held on Friday, March 4, 2011 from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, Chillicothe.
Memorials in honor of Shirley Keith may be made to Edgewood Cemetery or the American Cancer Society and left at the funeral home or mailed to Heritage Funeral Home, 3141 N. Washington, Chillicothe, MO. On line condolences may be left at www.heritage-becausewecare.com .
