Sharon Kay Hays, 63, of Chillicothe MO passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at her home, under the care of her family and St. Luke’s Hospice.
Sharon was born October 10, 1951 in Chillicothe, the daughter of Bill Hatfield and Edna Lucille Perry Hatfield. She attended school in Chillicothe.
On November 20, 1966 Sharon married Doyle Jefferson Hays at her pastor’s home in Chillicothe. Doyle preceded her in death August 19, 2013.
Sharon was a homemaker all of her life and enjoyed reading, puzzle books, and watching TV. Spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, was the most important thing in her life.
She is survived by her mother, Edna Perry Hatfield; three daughters, Claretta Lamp of Lancaster MO, Penny Kromeich of Macon MO, and Kim Tuttle and fiancé John Ragle of Kidder MO; 9 grandchildren, Michael Yount and wife Melissa, Keith Yount, Timothy Yount, Trenton Ewing, Tatum Hays, Lacey Kromeich, Cody Kromeich, Reece Tuttle, and Kennedy Tuttle; 4 great grandchildren, Dewayene Yount, Kaylynn Yount, Lucas Margo and  K’aysia Yearwood; 6 sisters; 2 brothers; several nieces and nephews.
Sharon was preceded in death by her father, Bill Hatfield; husband, Doyle Hays; 2 sisters; two brothers; and two son-in-laws.
Memorials in honor of Sharon Hays may be made to St. Luke’s Hospice and left at or mailed to Heritage Funeral Home 3141 N. Washington Chillicothe MO 64601.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 9, 2015 at Heritage Funeral Home, Chillicothe.
Burial will be at Edgewood Cemetery, Chillicothe MO.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 8, 2015 at Heritage Funeral Home.
