Ruth Willie Shaw, 93, of Chillicothe, Missouri passed away at Morningside Center on October 13, 2022. Ruth was born on March 15, 1929 to parents Calvin Douglas Sr. and Elvenia Katherine Carter. Harold E. Moore, the R.T. Coles Vocational and Junior High School noticed that Ruth is one of the most outstanding members of this year’s Graduating Class of 1948. Being rated as the highest ranking honor student; having exceptional decorum; serving as secretary of the senior class and of the student council, she gives every evidence of being on her way toward making your fondest dreams for her come true. She worked in the Laundry department for University of Kansas Hospital. She was also a member of the Friendship Baptist Church of Kansas City.

Her hobbies include puzzles, quilting, and making things.

Ruth is survived by her sisters family.

Ruth is preceded in death by Husband Melvin Shaw; Father Calvin Douglas Sr.; Mother Elvenia Katherine Carter; Sister LaVerna Williams; Brothers Calvin Douglas Jr.; Versailles Douglas.

Memorials in honor of Ruth can be made out to Friendship Baptist Church of Kansas City and mailed to, or left at Heritage Funeral Home 3141 North Washington Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.

Visitation will be held on Monday October 17, 2022 at 9:00a.m.- 10:00p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home Chillicothe, Missouri

Graveside Service will be held on Monday October 17, 2022 at 11:00a.m. at Carroll Memory Gardens Cemetery in Carrollton Missouri
