Ruth Ann Davies passed away September 3, 2013. Ruth Ann was born September 25, 1947  to Annabelle and Roy Lee McBride of Stewartsville, MO

Ruth Ann graduated from the Stewartsville High School where she attended all 12 years of her schooling. Ruth Ann attended College at the St. Joseph Junior College in St. Joseph and the Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tenn. Ruth Ann worked while attending college at the Methodist Hospital and the Sister’s Hospital in St. Joseph, she worked at Dillards in Clarksville, Tenn while attending school there.

When she returned from Tennessee, she worked for the Social Security Administration in Chillicothe, MO part time and later worked at Donaldson’s for two years. She then returned to the Social Security Administration where she continued to work until 1978. She quit work to help her husband farm. She met her husband in 1978 and they were married on September 9, 1978 . In 1990 she worked at Hedrick Medical Center in Chillicothe, MO and worked until 1996.

She is survived by her husband Larry, her two sons, Tim Davies and daughter in law Christie and her two grandchildren Gracie and Ben of Lawson, MO.  Jim Davies and his partner Paul Cobb of Chicago IL, her brother Gary McBride and wife Donna of St. Joseph, MO. She was preceded in death by her parents.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to Enon Cemetery or to the Forrest O. Tripplett Animal Shelter and left at the funeral home or mailed to Heritage Funeral Home, 3141 N. Washington, Chillicothe, MO 64601. On line condolences may be left at

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m.  on Saturday, September 7, 2013 at Dawn Federated Church, Dawn MO.

Burial will be at Enon Cemetery, Dawn MO

A Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 pm on Friday, September 6, 2013 at the Dawn Federated Church.

Arrangements are under the direction of Heritage Funeral Home, Chillicothe, MO.
