Ray Eugene Safarik

    Ray Eugene Safarik, 84 of Chillicothe, MO, passed away on Tuesday, December 30th, 2025 at his residence in Chillicothe, MO. He was born on April 2nd, 1941 to his parents Ray Safarik and Vera Dunkin Safarik. On October 14th, 1967 Ray married his love, Dolores Donoho, in Trenton, MO, living a beautiful life together, raising a loving family.

    Ray served his country proudly, joining the United States Navy in 1962, serving until 1966. After leaving the service, he worked at Donaldsons in Chillicothe, MO. In his free time, Ray enjoyed collecting HO model trains and World War II military models.

    Ray is survived by his wife, Dolores Donoho Safarik; and his two daughters: Crystal Gudgell and Adria Simecek, with her husband Michael Simecek; as well as his seven grandchildren: Mason Gudgell; Miles Gudgell; Morgan Gudgell; Lillian Phillips, with her husband Taylor Philips; McKenzie Simecek; Connad Simecek; and Karsten Simecek.

    He is preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Vera Safarik.

    A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date in time.
