Pauline Jones

Pauline Griffin Jones, 93, of Chillicothe, MO passed away Friday, June 12, 2015 at Hedrick Medical Center in Chillicothe.
Pauline was born August 16, 1921 in Cleveland OK the daughter of Harve Lawrence Griffin and Beatrice Howell Griffin.  She was a graduate of Cleveland High School.
On March 4, 1942 Pauline married H. J. “Jay” Jones in Cleveland OK. He preceded her in death on November 26, 1979.
During the war, Pauline worked as an airplane assembly person building P38s for  Lockeed . She also worked as a telephone operator and as a receptionist for Dr. Fair. In 1979 she was appointed to fill the position of clerk/ recorder for Livingston County, after her husband’s death. She was then elected for another term.
Pauline was a member, since 1946, of the United Methodist Church of Chillicothe.  She was active with the Girl Scouts and was a den mother for the Boy Scouts. Pauline enjoyed flowers and gardening, crocheting, knitting and crafts. The time spent with her grandchildren was most important to her.
She is survived by a son, Randy J. Jones and wife Debbie of Davenport IA; daughter, Janan Jones of Fort Collins CO; 3 grandchildren, Cody J. Harrison of Sand Point ID, Kelli L. Jones of St. Louis MO, and Julie L. Hartman and husband Chris of St. Louis MO; 3 great grandchildren Lance Harrison, Lauren Harrison and Jackson Harrison; a brother, Harve Griffin of Las Vegas NV; a sister, Roberta Diehnel of Cleveland OK; several nieces and nephews.
Pauline was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jay; 4 sisters and 1 brother.

There has been a cremation.
Memorial services will be held Monday, June 15, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, Chillicothe.
There is no scheduled visitation.
A private burial will take place at Edgewood Cemetery at a later date.
Arrangements are under the direction of Heritage Funeral Home, Chillicothe MO.
