Myron Hoyt

September 18, 1924 — March 27, 2015

Myron Paul (Pud) Hoyt, 90, of Chillicothe passed away Friday, March 27, 2015 at his home, under the care of his family and St. Luke’s Hospice.
Myron was born September 18, 1924 near Dawn MO, the son of Burt Allen Hoyt and Minnie Marvin Crismond Hoyt. He was a graduate of Chillicothe High School.
In May of 1946 he married Mary Lou Pearson at her brother’s home in Chillicothe. She preceded him in death in 1995. He then married Maxine Mallott and she preceded him in death on December 7, 2014.
Myron was a truck driver for M&L Trucking for many years.
He enjoyed motorcycles and in 2002 he rode across the country on a Lewis and Clark Memorial Ride. Myron also enjoyed model airplanes and especially liked traveling over the country in his motorhome.
He was a member of the Free Methodist Church of Chillicothe and a former member of the Odd Fellow Lodge.
Myron is survived by a daughter, Connie Chapman (Jim) of Chillicothe; son, Eddie Hoyt (Mary) of  Olathe KS; six grandchildren, Jamie Chapman (Georgia),  and Charlie Chapman, both of Chillicothe, Amy Faubion (Mark), Amanda Johnson (Brian), Katie Mckenzie (Joe) all of Kansas City MO, and Jeremy Hoyt of Lee’s Summit MO; Eric Watson, Melissa, Michelle and Dusty Warner; great grandchildren, Jimmy & Jacob Chapman, Hailey & Bo Faubion, Joseph Hoyt, Taylor McKenzie , Shyla, J.J. and Remington Hoyt, Zachary Johnson,  Grace and Gavin Warner; a sister-in-law, Virginia Hoyt of Chillicothe; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wives; sister Betty Jane Hoyt and brother, Tony Hoyt.
The family suggests memorials may be made to the Free Methodist Church or to the Christian Motorcycle Association and left at or mailed to Heritage Funeral Home 3141 N. Washington Chillicothe MO 64601. On-line condolences may be left at www.heritage-becausewecare.com
A visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 2, 2015 at Heritage Funeral Home
Funeral services will held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, April 3, 2015 at the Free Methodist Church 1441 Jackson St. in Chillicothe.
Burial will be at Avalon Cemetery, Avalon MO.
Arrangements are under the direction of Heritage Funeral Home, Chillicothe MO.
