Morgan Burt Blakely, 61, of Dawn MO died Thursday, June 21, 2012 at Hedrick Medical Center in Chillicothe, MO.
The son of Claude Rabun Blakely and Mary Kate Burt Blakely was born September 17, 1950 in Butler, Georgia and Attended Georgia schools.
Morgan was a Vietnam Veteran and served in the United States Army.
On July 19, 2003 he married Joyce L. Barrow in Joplin MO. She survives of the home.
Morgan worked as a truck driver for Leggitt & Platt in Carthage MO for many years.
He enjoyed working with his hands at woodworking, drawing.
Morgan is survived by his wife, Joyce Blakely of Dawn; two daughters, Joyce Marie Blakely Alumbaugh of Chillicothe and Mary B. Rozier and husband, Buddy, of Byron, Georgia; two grandchildren, Dustin Tyler Rozier and Angelina Marie Rozier; and three sisters in Georgia.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
There has been a cremation and no services are scheduled.
A private burial will be held at a later date.
