Melody Kay Munson

     Melody Kay Munson 45, Of Chillicothe, MO passed away on Thursday June 12, 2025 at Hedrick Hospital in Chillicothe, MO. She was born on July 17th, 1979 in Chillicothe, MO to her parents Lawrence Joseph Forck Jr. and Linda Kay Drummond Forck. Melody graduated from Chillicothe High School and had 2 years of education at North Central Missouri College.

     Melody married Christopher Michael Munson on September 27th, 1997. Together they raised two children and lived happily together.

     She was a member of the First Baptist Church and served as the business office manager for the Baptist home now known as Living Legacy in Chillicothe. Melody also was an active member of the First Baptist Church Sunday School Class. She enjoyed playing volleyball and softball. Taking walks through town and finding great deals at garage sales. Especially if there was anything like farmhouse décor. She loved to listen to the New Kids on the Block. But most of all Melody loved spending time with her family. She was always ready to play whatever role was needed of her. Whether it be the loving daughter, fun and crazy sibling, or the best aunt in the world. Anything that allowed her to share in the precious moments in her family’s lives.

     Melody will forever be in the hearts and minds of her family and friends.

     Melody is survived by her husband, Chris Munson, her children, Kaylee Lynn Munson of Chillicothe and Dylan Michael Munson and his wife Jillian of Chillicothe. Her parents, Larry and Linda Forck of Chillicothe, a brother, Daniel Forck, and his wife Dena of Chillicothe. Her sister, Julie Feuerborn and her husband Caleb of Overland Park, KS. As well as two grandchildren, Raelynn Marie Munson and Eleanor Kate Mae Rankin and several nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and nephews.

     Melody is preceded in death by her grandparents, Glen and Hazel Drummond and Lawrence and Mary Forck Sr.

     A visitation service for Melody Kay Munson will be held on Wednesday the 18th of June at 5:00pm to 7:00pm at the First Baptist Church.

     A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 19th at 2:00pm at the First Baptist Church in Chillicothe, MO

     Burial will take place at Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Chillicothe, MO.

     Memorials for Melody Munson may be made to Chillicothe Elementary Library, or First Baptist Church Children’s Ministry.
