Mary Ann Slattery, 81, of Independence, formerly of Chillicothe passed away December 16, 2018 at Kansas City Hospice House in Kansas City, Missouri.

Mary Ann was born July 16, 1937 to Katherine Woods Mason in Plymouth, Missouri. She was a graduate of Chillicothe High School and worked many years Moore Implement and Bargain Bin Lumber as a Bookkeeper.

Mary Ann enjoyed quilting, crafting, ceramics, and toll painting. Christmas and family time were special to Mary Ann along with black Friday and purse shopping. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

She is survived by her nephew, Terry Parker (Kim) of Independence; niece, Kim Phillips (Scott) of Blue Springs; brother in law, Richard Parker of Buckner; sister in law, Mary Lou Wampler of Savanah; and several great nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her mother, Katherine Wood Mason; husband, Billy George Slattery; and twin sister, Lois Parker.

Memorials in honor of Mary Ann may be made to Lock Spring Cemetery, they can be mailed to or left at Heritage Funeral Home, 3141 N. Washington, Chillicothe, MO 64601. On line condolences may be left at www.heritage-becausewecare.com

A visitation will be held Thursday, December 20, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at Heritage Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, December 20, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. at Lock Springs Cemetery, Lock Springs, Missouri.

Arrangements are under the care of Heritage Funeral Home.
