Kristy Jean Sims, 48, of Chillicothe, MO passed away Monday, May 21, 2012 at her home in Chillicothe.
Kristy was born in Trenton, MO on December 4, 1963, the daughter of Glen Dean Sims and Mary Ann Engleman Sims. She attended Galt schools.
She worked for Gear for Sports in Chillicothe for several years before it closed and then she worked at Livingston Manor until illness forced her to quit.
Kristy enjoyed crafting projects and grilling outside with family and friends.
Kristy is survived by her mother, Mary Ann Sims of Trenton; four sisters, Terri Bethards of Trenton, Kelly Jacobs of Meadville, Dena (Jose) Barron of Trenton and Amy Chowning of Chillicothe; Three brothers, Mike (Heather) Sims Chillicothe, Scott (Christi) Sims of Laredo, and David Sims of Brookfield; 8 nephews; 8 nieces; 6 great nieces and 1 great nephew.
She was preceded on death by her father, Glen Dean Sims; paternal grandparents, Glen & Nadine Sims; maternal grandparents, Ruth (Rufus) Morgan and John Engleman; and a niece, Kalyn Bethards.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 24, 2012 at Heritage Funeral Home, Chillicothe.
Burial will be at Alpha Cemetery, Alpha, MO.
A visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m.
