Judy Diane Wilson

     Judy Diane Wilson, age 83, passed away on June 2, 2026 at Morningside Center in Chillicothe. Judy was born on October 2, 1942 to parents James Edward and Blanche Arvilla (Burkett) Lightner. She was a graduate of Chillicothe High School. On December 23, 1962, Judy married Richard Wilson at the Free Methodist Church in Chillicothe.

     Judy was a homemaker who loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed getting coffee with her sisters.

     Judy is survived by her husband Richard, her daughter Teresa McWhorter and her husband Rob McWhorter, her son Scott Wilson and his wife Simonie Wilson, her grandchildren Chloe Meyers and husband Devon Meyers, Tommy McWhorter and wife Nikki Lu McWhorter, Heidi Becker, Sadie Burnett and husband Doug Burnett, and Sydney Wilson, her great-grandchildren Lincoln Meyers, Oliver Meyers, Parker Meyers, and Kennedy Burnett, her sister Helen Ann DeWitt, and several nieces and nephews.

     Judy is preceded in passing by her parents, James and Blanche Lightner, her siblings Roy “Buck” Lightner, Betty “Peg” Milusnic, Norma Jean “Deannie” Mayberry, Estelle “Heavy” Donelson, Dottie Jane Doss, Delores “Poogie” Melte, Billie James Lightner, Jack Dempsey Lightner, Patricia Lightner and James Lightner.

     Memorials in honor of Judy Diane Wilson may be made to Free Methodist Church and left at or mailed to Heritage Funeral Home, 3141 N Washington St, Chillicothe, MO 64601.

     Visitation will be at 10 am on Monday June 8, 2026 with memorial service to follow at 11 am at Heritage Funeral Home in Chillicothe.
