Hunter Ronald Blakely, 67, of Chillicothe, MO went home to be with his Savior on Sunday, October 3, 2010 at his home under the care of his family and Hedrick Hospice.
Ronald was born October 31, 1942 in Vinesburg, California, the son of Marvin Blakely and Edith Ione McCracken Blakely VanDusen.
He was a 1960 graduate of Tina Avalon High School and a graduate of Cal Poly Tech in Pomona, CA
On August 13, 1965 Ronald married Mary Linda Clancy in Azusa, CA. She survives of the home.
Over the years, Ron held many jobs including manufacturing engineer for Rockwell International and as a probation officer. Later in life he enjoyed working for Blakely and Associates in the engineering and construction field.
Ronald accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior as a child and lived a life with the Lord as his guide. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Chillicothe.
He enjoyed fishing and helping others, but his greatest enjoyment came from spending time with his children and grandchildren who he dearly loved.
Ron is survived by his wife, Mary Linda Blakely of Chillicothe; his mother, Edith Ione Blakely VanDusen of Chillicothe; two sons, Ronald Blakely Jr. (Carol) of Chillicothe, and Daniel Blakely (Kim) of St Joseph; five grandchildren, Ashley and Jesse Blakely of Chillicothe and Celeste, Nathan and Christian Blakely of St. Joseph, MO.; 4 brothers, Richard Blakely (Carol) of Hamilton, Roger Blakely (Lillian) of Marshall, Ray Blakely (Sandra) of Chillicothe and Ralph Blakely (Charlotte) of Chillicothe; 3 sisters, Rena (Joe) Saldivar of Chillicothe, Rebel (John) Amarosa of Chillicothe and Robin (Mark) Stroginnis of Lee’s Summit; a sister in law, Barbara Evinger of Chillicothe; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Marvin Blakely.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 7, 2010 at Calvary Baptist Church in Chillicothe.
Burial will be at Blue Mound Cemetery, Blue Mound, MO.
A visitation is scheduled from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at Heritage Funeral Home in Chillicothe.
