Harold Lollar Jr.

Harold Lollar Jr, age 82, of Avalon, MO, passed away peacefully at home Monday, May 9, 2022.

Born December 4, 1939, in Jamesport, Missouri, he was the son of the late Harold Lollar Sr and Doris (Grimes) Lollar.  He graduated from Chillicothe High School in 1958.

Harold along with his parents owned and operated Lollar’s Dairy Queen in Chillicothe MO. from 1960 to 1976.  More recently Harold owned and operated the Playhouse Bar and Grill in Avalon MO. from 2008 until he sold it in March 2021.

Harold was an active member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles for 40 years. Harold enjoyed bowling and camping with his family and friends. 

Harold is survived by his three children: Mike and wife Kim Lollar of Chillicothe, MO, Lori and husband Steve Moore of Liberty, MO, and Lisa Lollar of Chillicothe MO.  Five grandchildren, Tiffany and husband Nick Shifflet of Meadville MO, Brooklyn and husband Quentin Cameron of Chillicothe MO, Drew and wife Jenny Lollar of Kansas City MO, Morgan and husband Zachary Ireland of Chillicothe MO, Haylee Moore of Liberty MO, twelve great-grandchildren, and one sister Patricia Turbyfill.

A graveside service and burial for Harold will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, May 13, 2022, at Resthaven Memorial Gardens US-65, Chillicothe, MO 64601.  Serving as pallbearers will be Drew Lollar, Nick Shifflet, Quentin Cameron, Zachary Ireland, Gauge Shifflet and Steve Moore. Honorary pallbearers are Tiffany Shifflet, Brooklyn Cameron, Morgan Ireland, Haylee Moore, and Jenny Lollar.
