Glenda Gillilan

     Glenda Rhoades Gillilan 77, of Chillicothe, MO passed away at Livingston Manor Care Center on July 27, 2025 surrounded by her family. Glenda was born to parents Vaughn and Edith Rhoades on May 30th, 1948 and graduated from Meadville High School. She married Robert Gillilan on June 30th, 1966 at Mount Zoin Church in Humphrey, MO.

     Glenda enjoyed working in her garden, sewing, and crafting. She loved working on skills with children, and was always ready to solve whatever puzzle book you brought her. Her family vacations and camping trips held a special place in her heart. But most of all, Glenda loved spending time with her family. Whether it be as Mom, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, or Sister, whatever role she needed to be just as long as she got to play a role in their lives.

     Glenda is survived by her husband, Robert Gillilan, her three children, Brenda Toot (Travis), Rob Gillilan, and Kerri Crowe. ten grandchildren, Brittany Comer (Kyle), Jacob Richardson, Natasha Renfro, Danny Crowe, Rochelle Gillilan, Robbie Gillilan (Haley Garrison), Brooklynn Crowe, Joey Crowe (Skilar Stofleth), Trae Toot, Kendra Toot. Along with eleven great-grandkids, Faith Renfro, Kayleb Crowe, Gavin Richardson, Liam Renfro, Greyson Renfro, Colton Comer, Spencer Tumbleson, Addie Comer, Phoenix Crowe, Trey Crowe and Samuel Crowe. As well as her sister, Ernestine Railsback and several nieces and nephews.

     Glenda is preceded in death by her parents, Vaughn and Edith Rhoades, her daughter, Stacy Jo Gillilan. Her four sisters, Veva (Ann) Oertwig, Joyce Keithley, Ruth Roney and Mary Wilson. As well as a baby brother, Baby Boy Rhoades and a son-in-law, Daniel Crowe.

     A memorial service for Glenda Gillilan will be held at Heritage Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 30th, 2025 at 10:00a.m. With a visitation being held on July 29th, 2025 at Heritage Funeral Home from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.

     Memorials in honor of Glenda Gillilan may be made out to Alzheimer’s Association.
