Glen Clifton Acree Jr.

Glen Clifton Acree Jr., age 77, of Chillicothe, MO passed away on Friday, May 23, 2025 in his home surrounded by his wife Gaile and loving family.

Cliff was born on Feb. 4, 1948 in Chillicothe, MO., the son of Glen Clifton Acree Sr. and Elsie (McCracken) Acree. 

He was united in marriage to Louwane Gaile Reed Acree on December 7th, 2024 at Lighthouse Church of God in White Cloud, KS. Surrounded by both of their families, church family, and friends.

Cliff was the third of nine children. He graduated from Southwest High School. He enlisted in the U.S. Army, later retiring after 20 years of service to his country. After the army he worked as an over the road truck driver. In his later years God called Cliff to serve as a pastor, at his time of passing he was serving as the pastor of the Lighthouse Church of God in White Cloud, KS.

He is survived by his wife, Louwane Gaile Reed Acree, his sons, James Christopher Acree and Sean Michael Acree. He is also survived by brothers, Ora Paul Acree (Kathy), Larry Dean Acree, Gary Ray Acree (Vickie), James Lee Acree (Sheila), and sister, Diane Nibarger (Jerry), Brother-in-law Ralph Summers. Cliff had Several grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews.

Cliff was preceded in death by his father, mother, brother (Bruce Lynn Acree) and sisters (Roberta Summers and Elizabeth Sickler).

A Memorial service is scheduled for 1:00pm on May 31, 2025 at Heritage Funeral Home in Chillicothe, MO.
