Frederick Edward Tate

     Frederick (Fred) Edward Tate, 74 of Chillicothe, MO passed away on August 27th, 2025 at Stonebridge Senior Living in Chillicothe, MO. He was born in Spickard, MO on November 24th, 1950 to parents Cecil Tate and Barbara (Clemens) Tate. Later he served in the United States Army.

     Fred enjoyed travelling mountains, elk hunting, and fishing! He loved to play music on his guitar and was a member of several bands that shared their music with hundreds of fellow music lovers. Fred also loved to ride his Harley motorcycle and listen to the sound of rubber on pavement as he travelled, whither it be to new locations or familiar ones.

     Family held a special place for Fred. He moved to Meeker, Colorado to be closer to his parents, their foster daughter Misty, and his nephew Eric. When his parents moved back to Missouri so did Fred. He always said Missouri was his home and was happy to be back.

     He is survived by his several cousins and their families.

     He is preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Barbara Tate, a sister Debbie Tate Clark, and a nephew Eric Clark.

     A Graveside service will be held for Fred at Spickard Masonic cemetery on September 27th, 2025 starting at 2:00pm.
