Edgar Pershing Kistler, 94, of Keytesville, MO passed away on Friday, May 3, 2013 at Moberly Regional Medical in Moberly, MO.
Edgar was born April 23, 1919 on a farm in the rural Keytesville, area, the son of Herbert D. Kistler and Elizabeth C. Meyer Kistler. In 1923 they moved to a farm Southwest of Dalton, MO and Edgar spent the remainder of his years farming there. He graduated from Brunswick High School in 1937.
Edgar married his wife of 66 years, Goldie J. Edwards, on April 6, 1947 in Dalton Immanuel Methodist Church. She survives of the home.
In his younger years Edgar owned his own airplane and loved flying. He was an avid bird watcher, especially Martins, and liked gardening and spending time with his friends and family.
Edgar is survived by his wife Goldie; three daughters, Karen Puckett, Virginia Eschbach and Diann West; three grandchildren, Bobby Eschbach, Adam West and Sarah West; one niece and one nephew.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Herbert and Elizabeth; a brother Junior Kistler and a sister, Jane Enderle.

A visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 5, 2013 followed by a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. at Breshears Memorial Chapel in Brunswick, MO.
Burial will be at Dalton Cemetery, Dalton Missouri.
Arrangements are under the direction of Heritage Funeral Home, Chillicothe, MO.
