Donald Merle Parks, 85, of Chillicothe, MO passed away at his home in Chillicothe on Sunday January 24, 2016.
Donald was born September 3, 1930 in Lyons, Kansas, the son of Fred Parks and Alma Mae Cooper Parks.
On June 5, 1975 Donald married Marjorie Louise Searcy at the Church of Christ in Chillicothe. She survives of the home.
Donald was the owner and operator of the family business, Grand Builders in Chillicothe.
He loved his family, his dog and enjoyed fishing.
His survivors include his wife Marjorie Parks; daughters Joni Walker and husband Michael of Chillicothe and Cheryl Bethards of St. Joseph, MO.; sister, Carolyn Barnett of Trinity, Texas Cheryl Coleman and husband Larry of Shelton, WA, Linda Meirgard and husband Clarence of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Melanie Jordan and husband Tyler, Michael Walker, Kyle Bethards, Joshua Bethards; great grandchildren Eric Walker and Gabby Ellis.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents; 2 sons, John Parks and Steven Bethards; 2 sisters, Nelda Martin and Jean Stapleton; a brother, Clifford Parks; and brother-in-law Jim Barnett.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 28, 2016 at Heritage Funeral Home, Chillicothe MO
Burial will be at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe MO.A
A visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at Heritage Funeral Home.
Arrangements are under the direction of Heritage Funeral Home, Chillicothe, MO.
