Connie Joyce Jewell, 58, of Chillicothe, MO passed away May 1, 2011 at her home in Chillicothe, under the care of her family and Hedrick Medical Center Hospice Services.
Connie was born July 22, 1952 in Chillicothe, MO to Jessie Jewell and Margaret Ann Hedrick Jewell.
She was a graduate of Chillicothe High School in the class of 1970.
Connie left Chillicothe in 1985 to move to Florida, where she worked in a metal factory, returning to Chillicothe in 2009. She worked for Midwest Glove in Chillicothe until illness prevented her from working.
She was a member of Highview Baptist Church in Chillicothe.
Connie had a life long love of watching and playing softball and even played for the Fifty and Over League when she lived in Florida. She also enjoyed fishing.
She is survived by two sisters, Virginia Holtzclaw of Kansas City, MO and Betty Asmussen and husband, Earl of Chillicothe; Brother-in-law, Don Mason of Carrollton, MO; nieces, Tammy Bennett of Kansas City, MO, Kim Johnson of Utica, MO, Tawanda Jewell of Chillicothe, and Angela Jewell; nephews, Paul Jewell of Utica, Rodney Moore of Chillicothe, Terry Holtzclaw of Kansas City, KS, Mike Daley of Utica, Jason Daley and wife, Sonja of Chillicothe, Danny Mason of Carrollton, Stanley Jewell and Kevin Jewell both of TN; several great nieces and nephews.
Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Jessie and Margaret; two sisters, Linda Sue Moore and Leona Carol Mason; a brother, Jessie Wayne Jewell and a nephew, Lonnie Moore.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at Heritage Funeral Home, Chillicothe, MO
A visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
There will be a cremation after the service with a private burial held at a later date.
