Clarence Orin Cox, 101, of Chillicothe MO passed away, Tuesday, September 09, 2014 at Livingston Manor Care Center in Chillicothe.
Clarence Orin Cox was born December 29, 1912 in Nettleton, MO to John H. and Mary Eda Sackman Cox. He graduated from Nettleton High School and on November 10, 1933 he married Frances Allen. They resided in Nettleton until moving to Chillicothe in 1937. They had 4 children, Allen Leon (Doris)Cox of Chillicothe, Jewell Wendell (Marilyn) Cox of Cape Girardeau, MO, Janet Sue (Larry) Warren, Chillicothe and Gary Paul (Carol) Cox of Florissant, Colorado
Clarence was a mechanic and worked for John Deere, McIntosh Truck and Tractor and Dean Machinery retiring in 1977.
He belonged to Chillicothe United Methodist Church, Five Watt Wizards CB Club, Livingston County Steam and Gas Association and was an early member of the Livingston County 4-H and FFA Fair Association board. He is a member of the Fair Association Hall of Fame, the Royal Neighbors of America and the Grand River Historical Society.
Clarence is survived by his children, 10 grandchildren, Julie Freeman, Kathy Pinkston, Danny Cox, Brian Cox, Paul Cox, Nicole Little, Elizabeth Lancaster, John Warren, David Warren, and Mark Warren, 16 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Frances, his parents, a brother Harold Cox; a sister Inez Wilson and a nephew.
Memorials in honor of Clarence Cox may be made to Livingston County Steam and Gas Association or to Livingston County 4-H and FFA Fair Association  and left at or mailed to Heritage Funeral Home, 3141 N. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 14, 2014 at Heritage Funeral Home, Chillicothe, MO
Burial will be at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe, MO
A visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at Heritage Funeral Home.
