Beverly May (Fairbanks) Nichols, age 78, a resident of Chillicothe, MO,  passed away Monday, January 16, 2017, at Morningside Center in Chillicothe, MO.
Beverly was born June 26, 1938 in Minneapolis, MN the daughter of Floyd and Audrey (Anderson) Fairbanks. She spent her younger years in Janesville, Iowa and then moved to Missouri where she met and married her sweetheart Johnson L. Nichols on Feb. 12, 1956.
Beverly enjoyed working in different aspects in the restaurant business for many years and working at Lambert Glove Factory, and later in life caring for children and the elderly.  Beverly loved putting a smile on everyone’s face by cooking for them. She was a member of House of Prayer in Chillicothe, MO. She loved being with her family and going to church to hear about her Lord.  Her door was always open for anyone to stop by. She was a loving wife, mother, aunt, and grandmother to all.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years Johnson L. Nichols of Chillicothe, MO, one son, Terry Nichols of Chillicothe, MO., two daughters: Jona Jones and husband Lavern of Dawn, Mo, Donna Nichols Hughes of Chillicothe, MO, one brother Harry Fairbanks and wife Darlene of Denver, Iowa. Grandchildren and great-grandchildren: September Hughes and her son Cyrus; April Hughes and Kevin Davis and their children: Makayla, Shyanne, Aleeya, Hanna, Kevin, Jr.; Crystal Jones; Jennifer Coke and husband Ray and their children: Ryan & Jude, Mary Jones and Dalton Franklin, Katie Woodworth and husband Colin and their children: Carman, Kimber, Cambry, Kreedyn; Terry Nichols, Jr., Iloe Alvarado and her children: Mauricio, Emilio, Anibal, Luciana; and Melody Nichols and Luke and their children: Forest, Logan, Owen.  A very special niece Cindy Nichols, Breckenridge, MO, special friends Linda  Donath of Wheeling, MO and Tanna Masters of Chillicothe, MO.  Several other special family members and loving friends.
Beverly is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, three sisters and her precious great granddaughter Marley Mae Franklin.
Your life was a blessing, your memories a treasure, we’ll meet you in the mansion just over the hilltop.
Memorials in honor of Beverly May Nichols may be made to the House of Prayer and left at or mailed to Heritage Funeral Home 3141 N. Washington. Chillicothe MO 64601. On line condolences may be left at www.heritage-becausewecare.com.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 20, 2017 at Heritage Funeral Home, Chillicothe.
Burial will be at Rosehill Cemetery, Breckenridge MO.
A visitation will be held 1 hour prior (1:00 p.m.) to the service on Friday.
Arrangements are under the direction of Heritage Funeral Home, Chillicothe MO.
