Benjamin (Benny) Gladstone Timmons, 78 of California, MO, formerly of Chillicothe, MO passed away May 20, 2016 at his home, under the care of his family.
Benny was born September 25, 1937 north of Wheeling, MO the son of Russell Timmons and Hattie Matthews Timmons.
On June 18, 1966, Benny married Stella Marie Leonard in Chillicothe, She preceded him in death on July 25, 2015. Not long after her death, went to California, MO to live with his niece.
He was a life-long resident and farmer in the Chillicothe area. He enjoyed gardening, taking care of his cows and spending time with Marie.
Benny is survived by two brothers, Paul Timmons and wife Carla of Twin Falls, ID, and Cecil Timmons of Wheeling, MO; three sisters, Mildred Wilburn and husband Charles of Chillicothe, Shirley Forsythe of Gladstone, MO and Marilyn Harmon and husband Dan of Carrollton, MO; several nieces, nephews; great nieces and great nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Marie; a brother, Junior Timmons and a sister Linda Walker.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at Heritage Funeral Home.
A visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
Arrangements are under the direction of Heritage Funeral Home, Chillicothe MO.
